The U12 boys played a hard fought game on a warm Sunday in Avon Lake but ultimately lost 4-2. The boys started off strong in the first half, controlling the ball for most of the first half. Towards the end of the first half, Cam took a pass from Austin to put it just over the line to take an early 1-0 lead. Austin got his first career assist with BDU. The game remained 1-0 until half time.

As the second half began, the boys continued to put pressure on the Avon Lake goal but weren't able to get the second goal in. After several attempts to put in the back of the net, Avon Lake defense got charged with a hand ball just outside the box. Andrew lined up and was able to sneak just to the left of the defending wall to give the BDU boys a 2-0 lead.

The 2-0 lead would be short lived however. Several well played attacks by Avon Lake resulted in a quick turn of the game to make it a 2-2 game. After two really good saves by Tyler, a few defensive lapses by the boys allowed for another 2 goals to be scored by Avon Lake to make it a final of 4-2. 

The boys go to 0-1-0 on the season. They open their home slate of the schedule this coming Sunday against Fairview Park.
