1st ANNUAL BDU FUTSAL TOURNAMENT

Futsal Standings

TEAM CREATION/MAKE-UP

Once registration closes teams will be created.
Teams will be made as even as possible to hopefully create competitive and fun matches
Each team will have a max of 6 players with most teams having 5 players.
If a team is short due to a player not showing up or injury we will shift a player from a different team.

MATCH SET-UP

Number of Players on Court: 5 Per Team
No Goalkeepers
Duration of Games: 20 Minute Continuous Clock
Pinnies will be provided for each team
There will be 2 round-robin brackets consisting of 4 teams per bracket.
The top two teams will play for the championship.
Tie-breakers will be decided by head-to-head result and goal differential if needed.

MATCH RULES

Game will start with a normal kick-off. Team designated home will kick-off.
Non-goal scoring team will kick-off after a goal is scored.
Ball In/Out of Play: Ball will be dribbled or kicked in. No throw-ins. Restarts will be in-direct. The ball would need to touch another player in order to be scored.
Goal Kicks: Ball will be dribbled or kicked in. No throwing.
On Goal Kicks the team without the ball must retreat to mid-court until the ball is played in.
All free-kicks will be indirect
There will be a crease in front of the goal.. No player from either team can touch the ball while it is inside this area.
If a defensive player touches the ball inside the crease it results in an open net PK from mid-court for the opposite team.
If an offensive player touches the ball inside the crease it results in a goal kick for the defensive team.
A player is only allowed to take one PK until all members of the team have taken one. This transfers from game to game.
Goals cannot be scored from a team’s defensive side of the field (before mid-court)
No Slide Tackling
No Off-Sides

SCORING/REPORTING

Refs will have game cards for each game. They will keep track of the score and any PK’s taken.
After each game someone will collect the card to keep track of standings
Once final round-robin games are complete the championship game will be determined.
